We’ve reported on fitness trackers before, but I believe this is the first time we reported on an Indiegogo project. The Leo Leg Band is probably one of the only activity trackers that I have seen that you wear on your leg.
I am not certain if the leg location makes any difference, but it has some interesting features. For example, the Leo Leg Band allows the user to be alerted when he or she needs a drink of water. It will also inform the wearer when the user is pushing him or herself too hard, or not hard enough. It will even inform the wearer if he or she lands too hard after running.
Of course, it will also do the usual fitness tracker activities like keeping track of calories burned, distance traveled, heart rate, and more. There are also a lot of other features that might not be on other fitness trackers like speed, hydration levels, weather conditions, cadence, muscle intensity, and even how much lactic acid is in the user’s system.
Well, since this is an Indiegogo project, it means that it needs funding in order to get it on the market. Actually, I checked over on the Indiegogo site, and it looks like it has already achieved its funds. You should probably be able to get it on an early-bird special for about £225/$299.
