It is hard to believe that there was once a time when GPS devices were stand-alone devices on our dashboards, instead of afterthoughts on our smartphones. Yes, Google Maps really changed everything, but companies like TomTom, makers of stand-alone GPS devices, are still in business.
In fact, TomTom recently announced the Golfer, and, as you might have guessed, it is designed for those who love golf. Clearly, it has a niche audience in mind as it has information of more than 34,000 courses. Another terrific feature is that the Golfer can send detailed info from the course right to the user when he or she needs it.
Not only is it a golfer’s dream on the wrist, but it can keep track of distance, score, and time during the game. This means you can leave the small pads with the halved pencils at home.
The Golfer watch is also waterproof, meaning that you don’t have to worry if it rains while you are on the course. Yeah, I don’t really know good golfing lingoes.
In fact, I have no idea if it is even golfing season. if you want it now, then you’ll have to wait. The Golfer watch is available for pre-order in about a month with a white or black strap.
